Best backpackers in New Zealand! All should aspire to be like this. Payed NZ$48 for a great double room with reading lamps and heater. Lonely Planet reviews it and says the decor is over the top but we think it's very well done - they've made a lot of effort to make it confortable and cozy. Big modern and spotless kitchen.
Free tea, coffee and morning bread with butter and jam. Huge lounge area with fire. Internet terminals where you can burn your own CD's with card readers.
The manager came around after dinner and had freshly baked chocolate muffins!
Wish we could have stayed here for much longer.
