Stayed at Sims Cosy Guesthouse
A little out of the center near the Wenshu Temple.
Great outdoor sitting area. Very friendly staff with brilliant travel office including flight to Lhasa for 1900 Yuan including transport to airport and permit.
Big spotless room, private bathroom with TV and DVD (you can choose copy DVD's from their library to play for free). We heard other hostels in Chengdu were grotty but this was great.

We stayed there in May and again in late June. Cannot recommend it more highly. It's a family run business where the staff can understand even broad australian accents! It was our haven in Chengdu.
