Original Backpackers. In the middle or Kings Cross. Friendly social hostel. Had big double room with TV, fridge, shower and hand baisin for $65. Clean enough. Can be noisy though with people coming back at night and chatting outside your room even though there's a curfew. Have organised evenings such as Friday barbeque with beer and food and a drink at the pub afterwards all for $5. Great value. Free airport pickup if you stay at least 2 nights. Lots of young longterms working in Sydney.
