First stayed at Red Planet
OK room but ours was very damp and dark, shower in bathroom which had hot water in the evening but luke warm in the morning (this is the norm for most places in Kathmandu as the water is solar heated) Cost 450 Rupees but there is a 12% service charge above this.

Then moved to Tashi Dhargey which was 500 rupees and negotiated no tax as we were staying for 5 days. Much nicer room, had sun facing room with TV cable! (first outlook on real news since China) and small sitting area. Good restaurant downstairs that can send up food.
